THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE

LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE

The Tools

CCLI uses resources and tools to help Community Colleges focus on workforce and economic development.

·         The MarketResponsive Community College The underlying research identified seven key practices of colleges that are highly responsive to their regional labor market and business and industry.  The associated planning tools help colleges analyze current performance and plan for implementation of the key principles.

·         The College and Career Transitions Initiative (CCTI), sponsored by the League for Innovation in the Community College provides information on career pathways for youths and strategies to strengthen successful student transitions from high school to College and on to the workforce.

·         CCbenefits/Economic Modeling Specialists, Inc.(EMSI)  The economic impact analysis tool, developed by EMSI in collaboration with the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) helps measure the economic impact provided by the college to the regional economy.  Other reports include a regional gap analysis and an industry sector analysis.

* CCbenefits/EMSI provides data, tools, and reports that help community and technical colleges prove their value and plan for their future.

·         Community Collaboration Summit This event and community engagement process recognizes past successes and helps the college identify emerging issues, prepare for the future, and develop a vision of the college’s role in the 21st Century.
